Pre-boring opens a path before pressing or driving sheet piles into dense soil and hard sand layers

We install and extract steel sheet piles using silent hydraulic pressing with a Silent Piler or vibratory driving with a Vibro Hammer. These systems are suitable for temporary retaining walls in basement construction, drainage pipe excavation and tunnel works.

For highly compacted soil or hard sand layers, we offer pre-boring for sheet pile installation. An auger opens the ground before pressing or driving the piles, reducing friction, preventing damage to sheet pile heads and maintaining the alignment and levels specified by the engineer.

Internal bracing is essential to balancing earth and water pressure and keeping sheet pile wall deflection within the limits specified by the engineer. We install temporary king posts and assemble walers and struts using high-quality structural steel H-beams.

Our hydraulic jack preloading system takes up slack at steel connections so the bracing can resist earth pressure as soon as excavation begins. We also install platform decks and excavator access routes to support heavy machinery working above the excavation.

Excavation within an earth retention system must be closely coordinated with the bracing installation sequence. RTNC provides professional excavation crews with standard excavators and long-boom backhoes that efficiently lift soil from deep pits onto trucks.

We manage staged excavation to the engineering plan so each bracing level can be installed on time, preventing loss of retaining wall stability and systematically controlling settlement of surrounding buildings.

On sites with high groundwater levels or sandy layers where water may seep through sheet pile joints, cement grouting is an important technique for injecting cement slurry under high pressure to bind and fill voids in the soil.

This increases soil bearing capacity, reduces water seepage into the excavation and prevents boiling or piping at the excavation base, helping foundation concrete casting proceed smoothly in clean, dry conditions.

From initial survey to site handover

Review drawings & ground conditions

Review boring logs, excavation depth and neighboring buildings to determine the safest system.

Transport & site layout

Bring machinery and steel stock to site, set out survey lines and prepare the work area.

Install sheet piles & pre-bore

Install sheet piles along the specified alignment using a Silent Piler or Vibro Hammer, checking the verticality of every pile.

Excavate & install bracing

Excavate in stages, install king posts, walers and struts, and apply preload to the engineering specifications.

05

Dismantle & hand over

Once the main structure is complete, safely dismantle the bracing and extract the sheet piles.
